I wanted to play WoW retail but do I need every expansion CD keys?

I wanted to play on retail but I heard you need to buy every expansion cd keys (Classic, TBC, WOTLK and Cataclysm). Do I have to buy a package to earn each cd keys in order to create a WoW account? If so how much is the overall price?

Like it says on the website cataclysm covers the northrend, goblin and worgen, death knight. Do you need to buy all the expansion packs for it to cover these or can i just buy one and that will work?

Well i got the battle chest to start off, i started playing WoW about 5 days ago and im liking it. Im wondering if i should buy the mists of pandaria expansion… its $50 to upgrade to cataclysm+mop (i have client+crusade+lich king) so whats new in the mop expansion? *should i get it?*

im going to buy world of warcraft. im not planning on buying any expansion packs yet but if i dont have any expansions willi be able to play with people who do have them. ( burning crusade, wrath of the lich king or cataclysm)

I know u have to have Burning crusade to get wrath, and u need wrath to get cataclysm.. But do I buy the actual disk of the Expansion packs? And do I buy the burning crusade expansion pack disk or just the original disk and then wrath and then cataclysm?
